South Dakota Deer Hunting Season Starts Soon!

If you are like me all year is the time you think about deer hunting.  I was around some of my favorite hunting spots over the fourth of July and saw quite a few deer roaming around.  I started to get the itch and double checked to make sure I had put in for my draw, I have to wait for results though.  If you need help with the deadlines I put some important dates for South Dakota Residents that want to deer hunt below, as well as a link to the South Dakota Game Fish & Parks SDGFP and the application PDF.

Now is a great time to start figuring out your hunt if you plan to hunt this year.  

First draw was opened on June 1 and closes September 1.

Second Deadline for Residents will be available after results of the first draw are posted.

After the third drawing all leftover licenses will be available over-the-counter on a first come first serve basis.
