Cafe 81 ~ Salem

If you are looking for a great home town diner with stellar service and great food, come on over to Salem South Dakota and Cafe 81!

I had a hankering for some biscuits and gravy and they did not disappoint! I ordered a side of bacon and some scrambled eggs and got a plate full of wonderful.

My wife had a Mexican omelet and it was packed full of good eats!

They are only open for breakfast(served all day) and lunch, closed on Saturdays, so make sure you have the schedule down!

Cafe 81 had a great atmosphere as a redesigned bar with ice cream and the diner. It would also make a great place to grab a cup of coffee and visit with a good friend.

They also had a great selection of creamers!

So next time you are between Sioux Falls and Mitchell, make a stop just north of Interstate 90 on Highway 81. There is additional parking in the back of Cafe 81. You will be glad you stopped!
