Pheasant Season Opener October 15, 2016

The Pheasant season starts a little early this year.
It is always the 3rd weekend of October that, what seams like, the entire state's wardrobe turns bright orange! The parking lots of Cabela's are packed. and there are an abnormal amount of out-of-state license plates on pick-up trucks and SUV driving slow on the gravel roads. Ahh yes, it is pheasant season.
This year the first of October is a Saturday which means that the third weekend is on the 15th. You can start walking private property promptly at 12:00 noon. Bag limit of 3 roosters per day and possession of 15 total after the 5th day. For more information go to South Dakota Fish Game and Parks Web-site!
