Second Draw for Deer Season Now Open

 1st draw has come and gone, if you did not succeed the second draw is open now. If you need help with the deadlines I put some important dates for South Dakota Residents that want to deer hunt below, as well as a link to the South Dakota Game Fish & Parks SDGFP and the application PDF.

Now is a great time to start figuring out your hunt if you plan to hunt this year.  

First draw was opened on June 1 and closes September 2 with results available September 16.

Second Deadline for Residents is September 30th, If you did not succeed in drawing on first draw you can put in for second draw.  Results will be available October 7th.

Third Draw deadline is October 14 with results available on the 21st of October, which happens to be the opener of pheasant season!  This draw will be back open for anyone that has not been able to draw or those that might want an additional tag.

After the third drawing all leftover licenses will be available over-the-counter on a first come first serve basis.
