There will always be a special place for Baxa's Good times Cafe and Tavern in the heart of many from Canistota, SD.  James and Sue Owned / and Operated it very well for 26 years.  

I had the pleasure of helping them sell it to Eric and The Hawks Nest did not miss a beat in service to the community.  

 

The Hawk's Nest has a bunch of events planned and they have been adding changes all while remaining open.  There is a new stage, screen and projector in the back room.  The lottery games...

Yesterday, after 26 years, Baxa's Good Times Cafe and Bar was SOLD!  

The bar and grill is now owned and operated by Eric Eisleoffel, Canistota Resident and Owner of Daisy's RV Park.  

He has some exciting plans for the business and will remain open while making some changes.  

I want to thank sellers James and Susan Baxa, for their 26 years of dedication to the town of Canistota, and their establishment.  I would also like to thank both parties for choosing me, Donovan O'Donnell, from EXIT...

Sioux Falls has an awesome bike trail that goes around the city.  

 

I have only had the chance to ride a few miles of it.

 

 I got on at Legacy Park just of 41st street....

 

and rode up to Sertoma Park ...

and then went back to some of the shops that the trail goes behind.  Shops like Granite City Food and Brewery, Aldi Grocery, and Johnny Carinos!  

So it is great to ride, shop, and get something to eat.  I will go back sometime to do the entire 26+ mile trail!

I do have favorites, and when it is favorite place in Sioux Falls for a burger and a beer, Taphouse 41 is at the top of the list!

 

 

There burgers are a healthy size, and the selection of beers is awesome.  I lived in Colorado for 14 years, and I have tasted some awesome microbrew beers, and Taphouse 41 has some contenders on the beer menu!

This review is a little different as it was Squealers' Grand Opening last Friday August 26, 2016.  

 

They were promoting that they know how to throw, or better yet, help you throw a party.  

They really went all out with indoor and outdoor seating.  The catering truck / trailer and van were all on display.  

The above and beyond features were DJ, kids inflatables, and the ribbon cutting with EXIT Realty Sioux Empires Joe Weis was a great kick off to Tea's newest place to eat.

My wife and I dined at the PourHouse Kitchen in Sioux Falls yesterday.  

The atmosphere was fun with lots of televisions for viewing.  There were not sports on as it was the middle of a weekday afternoon and they were playing music videos and other programs.

 

We both decided to go with the daily special which was a Taco, Nacho, Salad Bar.  

There was chicken, pork, and beef to choose from and they were all seasoned well.  Both soft and hard shells as well as the chips and all the sides...
