Camping Reservations in South Dakota

With all the rain and snow I know it is hard to think about camping.  However, if you want to go this year it is always best to plan ahead especially if you are going with a group as the spots fill up so fast.  They have been taking reservations already for over a month!  I have included a handy chart to plan how far out you can book with the South Dakota Game, Fish & Parks.  If you click on it you will go to their site where you can book. This will make you a Happy Camper!

South Dakota is warming up... I hope.

It is true, this has been a brutal winter.  Many of the South Dakota Schools have had record snow days.  It has been down right cold, heck I even got stuck in the snow the other day in my 4x4 truck.

But today I feel like it is warming up.  I saw this deer on Highway 38 between Montrose and Humboldt and it looked like more of a sign of spring than any robin or ground hog I have ever witnessed!  So much so that I pulled over to take its picture!

Daylight savings time is this weekend to set...
2018 South Dakota Pheasant Opener!

This Saturday you will start seeing the orange in the fields!  Our great state of South Dakota is known world wide for the beautiful birds hunted from October to January every fall!

I enjoy pheasant hunting for the game, but more so for the bonding with friends and family.  It is great to get together, get outside, and have some good fun!

I enjoy house hunting as well, where my clients become friends...

What are you looking forward to this spring in South Dakota?

I don't know about you but I am sure excited about spring this year!  It feels like it has been a long winter.  I am looking forward to camping, fishing, and biking in a bunch of South Dakota's awesome parks!

I am also looking forward to a very lively Real Estate Market.  I am starting to see more homes come on the market and buyers are ready to start looking! If you plan to move when school lets out, now is the time to start working on it.  If that means listing your current home to sell o...
The ice is starting to melt!

I, like many of you, am ready for the cold and ice to be gone!  Today, March 22, 2018 it is just over 40 degrees outside.

So what am I super excited about, FISHING of course.  I went out to Lake Vermillion, in McCook County, the lake is still mostly frozen, some watery spots.  However, the dam is open and the river is flowing.  I doubt there would be much to catch yet but it won't be long!

Spring is the time the real estate market starts to warm up too.  Buyers are ready to get out and s...
